Keeping Up

I know, I know... I have not been updating this blog. Wah... nearly a month now. Sorrie to those who came back to check consistently.

Lots of origami to fold and lots of photos to upload. The last I counted, I have 100 new photographs in my trusty FX8 to go through. A lot have happened during this month, much of it bad. Oh well, that is life isn't it?

Most important of all, I have been comtemplating whether I should move to Wordpress. The UI is much better than what you get in Blogger. It is AJAX enabled you know :P It also have tags built in so that people with the same interest can easily find your blog entries. Plus, it has a built in site meter and a feed meter and it has these little widgets that are most useful on the pages.

But it has it limitations. For one thing, you are not allow to have javascripts on the page (which is seen as a security problem, which I totally don't understand?!). This rules out my trusty site meter and Adsense (Hey, did you notice the little advertisment I have up there?! $$$!). Also the photo storage space is limited to 25Mb. Although most of my photos are a few ten of kilobytes, but I do have a lot of photos in my blog you know.... so, I will run out of space soon. :-(

So, photo storage space wins the day! I am sticking with Blogger (for now :P). At least until I get a Picasa Web Album account :P

It would have been nice to know about Wordpress before I moved all my articles to blogger. ;). Have you considered livejournal?

I have tried Livejournal long long time ago, so I do not know how powerful it is right now.

But moving to Wordpress from Blogger is NOT an issue, because they got this ultra-friendly import function that actually WORKS! That is how I got most of my article from here to there! Hee hee!
