Tonkichi

When you talk about Japanese food, think about healthy stuff like sashimi, sushi, bento and ramen. Well, my favourite sinful Japanese stuff is all the fried stuff. Not just the normal Ebi Tempura we normally eat, I am talking about serious deep fried stuff. Fried pork, fried fish, fried prawn, fried chicken, fried oyster (yes! oyster) and fried vegetable.

Everything covered with nice batter and fried to golden brown prefection. Yum! Where to find something like that? Where else but Tonkichi? I simply love the place!

They give you sesame seed in a deep saucer. You can then grind the seeds to powder while you wait for your food to come. Add their Tonkichi sauce and you have a wonderful sauce to go with fried stuff.

The other sauce that they provide is their tartar sauce. Simply heaven with a lot of veggie bits inside. The only other good tartar sauce you can find in Singapore is Fish & Co.

We ordered a two person and a three person set meal. Lots of goodie. But more importantly, did you notice the heap of cabbage in the middle? It is refillable! You can eat as much cabbage as you want all night long.

The set meal comes with all these for each person
